The BCSC awards scholarships to both current high school seniors and current college students.
Current high school seniors should click the appropriate application button below to begin the application process. The BCSC uses the same application process as Berlin High School uses to award its scholarships to avoid duplicate work for the applicants.
Current college students must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible for a scholarship:
Be a graduate of Berlin High School or a current resident of the Berlin School District.
Be a full time student enrolled in college undergraduate studies (when applying and receiving).
Have completed at least 1 semester of full time college courses as college grades are part of our scoring criteria.
If the above conditions are true, the following must be submitted no later than April 1, 2025.
ESSAY: Compose an essay telling us about yourself. For example, what is your family life like? What do you do outside of school? What extracurricular activities are you involved in? Do you like to volunteer? What are your educational goals? What are your plans after college? Your essay must be limited to a maximum of one page and should not contain your name or family member names as applicants remain anonymous. Essays will be judged on content, grammar and spelling. Please save your essay as a PDF document and upload it in the application.
OFFICIAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT: Your most recent official college transcript, which can be obtained from the Records Department of your college. Most recent official college transcript with a minimum of one completed full-time semester of post-secondary courses on secure paper and not a PDF or online version unless it comes directly from the school's transcription department in a secure manner. If you do not receive a confirmation that this secure transcription email was received, please email BCSC at info@berlinscholars.org.
APPLICATION: The application provides BCSC with identifying and school information. In order to apply and upload your essay, you must have a Gmail account. If you do not have a Gmail account, please create one for this process. Once your essay is complete and saved as a PDF, use the button below to complete the application.
